Hestia Creations celebrates its 40th anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 12, 4-7 p.m., at the Marblehead store at 13 Hawkes St., honoring Linda D'Addario, principal sculptor and designer for 39 of the company's 40 years.
D'Addario started painting ornaments and went on to design signature pieces — ornaments, crèches, Santas, watercolors — earning a B.F.A. and M.S. from Massachusetts College of Art and juried membership in the Marblehead Arts Association. "Linda's contribution to Hestia cannot be overstated," owner Joanne D'Alessandro said. "She has helped create the artistic identity that people associate with Hestia."
Guests will be the first to see the new Nativity figure "Obed the Baker" and the 2026 Annual Marblehead AmeriScape. D'Addario will sign pieces, and purchases made during the event enter a drawing for a one-of-a-kind Signature AmeriScape ornament of the winner's own home, a $500 value, designed by D'Addario.
