The event allows residents to safely dispose of materials such as oil-based paints, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, and automotive fluids. Residents are asked to leave items in their original containers, tighten lids, and never mix chemicals. Materials should be packed upright in sturdy boxes and transported directly to the site. Smoking is prohibited while handling hazardous materials.

Items not accepted include rigid plastics, empty containers, prescription drugs, asbestos, fireworks, and commercial or industrial waste.
