The Marblehead Arts Association will host an opening reception for its newest exhibits Sunday, March 1, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The exhibits, which run Feb. 28 through April 11, feature photography, painting, sculpture and printmaking by local and regional artists.
“Through the Student’s Lens,” sponsored by Hunt’s Photo & Video, showcases photography by young artists. Debbie White presents her first solo exhibit at the association, “Life on Your Own.” Sculptor Elisa Vanelli’s work is featured in “When We Remembered We Were One.”

Two additional solo exhibits include Debbie Shirley’s “Street Stories,” which explores nostalgic subject matter with contemporary design, and Jill Clemmer’s “Life in Full Bloom,” highlighting intricate linocut artistry.

The exhibit “Through the Looking Glass,” sponsored by Fil Nenna Photography, explores imaginative themes where the everyday meets the fantastical. The show coincides with the association’s Spring Gala, also titled “Through the Looking Glass,” scheduled for April 11. More information about the gala is available at marbleheadarts.org/spring-gala.

The Marblehead Arts Association galleries are open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission to the exhibits and opening reception is free, though donations are accepted. For more information, visit marbleheadarts.org.
