Table of Contents

A snow emergency will be in effect from 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, through 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, due to a forecasted winter storm mix of snow, ice and freezing rain, according to Marblehead Department of Public Works.

All vehicles must be removed from public streets during the emergency to allow snow removal operations. Parking will be prohibited on all public ways, including boats and trailers. Vehicles left on the street during the ban may be ticketed or towed.

Depositing snow or ice on sidewalks, roadways or against fire hydrants is prohibited. Officials said keeping vehicles off the streets as snowfall begins Sunday will assist with plowing operations.
