On behalf of the Marblehead Wreaths Across America team, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined and supported our event held on November 12th at The Beacon Restaurant and Bar. It was a truly special evening, one that reminded us of the power of community, generosity, and shared purpose.
The room was filled with warmth, pride, and heartfelt emotion as friends, neighbors, and local businesses came together to support Wreaths Across America’s mission: to remember our fallen heroes, honor those who serve, and teach the next generation the value of freedom. When small communities unite for a cause greater than themselves, it ignites something truly wonderful and last night was a beautiful example of that spirit in action.

We were humbled by the overwhelming outpouring of support from our local businesses and community members. A sincere thank-you to the many vendors and sponsors whose generosity made this event possible: Maria’s Gourmet, O’Rama’s, Groom Construction, Dr. Ron Plotka, Sweet Java, Vesuvius, Mud Puddle Toys, Dayles European Spa, RN Aesthetics, Management Design Associates, The Beacon/Warwick, Amanda Dunham, Beam Aesthetics, Living Swell, Cloz, Bus Stop, Light House Fitness, and Claudette Mason.

A heartfelt thank-you as well to our venue hosts, The Beacon Restaurant & Bar and Warwick Cinemas & Events Center at 123 Pleasant Street in Marblehead, for providing such a welcoming and memorable space for the evening.
We were honored to hear from our guest speakers, whose stories and service moved everyone in attendance:
• Peter Merry, Captain, United States Marine Corps (1967–1971)
• Dr. Ron Plotka, Captain, United States Air Force Dental Corps (1968–1971)
• Owen Dulac, Marblehead High School student-athlete and proud applicant to the United States Military Academy at West Point
Our deepest thanks to Julie Groom for her vision and organization in making this incredible event possible, and to Carrie McGovern, Tammi Baer, and Kim Furnald for their tireless efforts behind the scenes.
We’d also like to extend our appreciation to the Marblehead 4th graders for their beautiful homemade banners, and to our dedicated Wreaths Across America team members, Edgar, Johnny, Erica, Tim, Dee, Izzy, Otto and Cher, for their passion and commitment.

As we reflect on the evening, our hearts are full. The success of this event was not measured in attendance or donations alone, but in the sense of unity and gratitude that filled the room. Together, we are helping ensure that every veteran in Marblehead is remembered and honored this December when wreaths are placed upon their graves.
