The Marblehead Cultural Council is accepting applications for its 2027 grant cycle, offering funding to individuals and organizations for projects in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences.
Applications opened Sept. 1 and are due Oct. 15. Applicants must demonstrate how their proposed projects would contribute to the quality of life of people who live and work in Marblehead.
The council awards grants each year for local cultural programming. Past funding has supported live performances, art installations, exhibits and field trips. The council said it seeks to support new, emerging and established artists and programs at local venues while funding projects that reach different age groups and represent a range of cultural experiences.
“Our 10-member council is excited about the upcoming application cycle,” Chair Jeanie Stahl said. “We look forward to reviewing and funding projects that are creative, meaningful, and inspirational.”
The Marblehead Cultural Council is part of a statewide network supported by the Mass Cultural Council, the state’s arts agency. The Marblehead council is one of 329 local organizations funded directly through the state agency.
Applicant session set for Sept. 10
A webinar for prospective applicants will be held Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. to explain the application process. Registration and applications are available through the Mass Cultural Council’s Local Cultural Council program website.
