Marblehead has declared a snow emergency and announced a four-day overnight parking ban beginning Wednesday night, citing the impact of recent storms on local streets and sidewalks.

The ban will be in effect from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night from Wednesday, Feb. 25, through Saturday, Feb. 28. During those hours, parking will be prohibited on all public roadways to allow crews to continue snow cleanup and removal operations.

Town officials said the extended ban is necessary to ensure roads remain clear for emergency vehicles and to provide space for public works crews to address snow buildup left by the recent storms.

Vehicles found in violation of the parking ban may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.

Residents and visitors are urged to park responsibly throughout the week to help keep roadways clear and safe as crews work to remove excess snow during daytime hours. Updates on parking restrictions will be available on the town’s website and on Police and Fire Department social media pages.
