The snow emergency parking ban in Marblehead was lifted at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, according to the Marblehead Police Department.

Officials reminded residents that depositing, pushing or blowing snow from private property onto public streets, sidewalks or fire hydrants is strictly prohibited.

Police urged residents to remain cautious on roadways and to limit travel when possible. Drivers were advised to ensure headlights and brake lights are fully functional, check tires, confirm gas and coolant levels are adequate, and carry emergency supplies such as ice scrapers and blankets.

In the event of an emergency, residents were reminded to dial 911.

Town officials thanked residents for their cooperation during the parking ban and commended Department of Public Works crews for working overnight and throughout the day to clear roads.
