On October 21, the Friends of the Marblehead Council on Aging will welcome its high school volunteers to the Judy & Gene Jacobi Community Center where students will apply address labels and seal the envelopes of close to 5,700 letters addressed to residents over the age of fifty-five. This mailing marks the annual fund appeal to town residents to support the Friends of the Council on Aging.
The annual fund is one of our biggest fundraisers each year. The money collected helps to fund many of the programs for seniors conducted at the Judy & Gene Jacobi Community Center including funding the Council on Aging's daily operations, recreational activities, excursions, entertainment, and nutrition programs. The Friends of the Marblehead COA's annual fundraising appeal will help keep these vital programs going for our town's senior citizens.
