Marblehead scarecrow stroll, contest takes place Saturday

The Marblehead Recreation & Parks Department will host its annual Scarecrow Stroll and Contest on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Gerry Playground on Stramski Way.

The stroll runs from 1 to 4 p.m. with admission at $6 per person. Families can walk among festive scarecrow creations while trick-or-treating along the way. Costumes are encouraged.

Entry in the scarecrow contest is free and open to families, organizations and businesses, with a chance to win prizes. Contest setup is from 9 to 11 a.m.
