Mini Green Home Tour to showcase solar-powered Marblehead home

Table of Contents

A local family will open their doors Nov. 1 for Sustainable Marblehead’s Mini Green Home Tour, showcasing how they power their home entirely with solar energy.

Installed in 2021, the home’s Tesla Solar Glass Roof produces 12.6 kilowatts of electricity, powering the residence, two electric vehicles and a battery backup system. Energy is stored in a Tesla Powerwall and managed through a Span smart breaker panel that lets residents control usage from a phone app.

Visitors can tour the home at 34 Pinecliff Drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to see how solar technology integrates into daily life without visible panels or fossil fuels.
