Residents and visitors will have the chance to step aboard history next weekend as Marblehead REV250 and the Harold B. and Elizabeth L. Shattuck Fund present two days of events honoring the schooner Hannah, the first commissioned vessel of the Continental Navy.

The Fame, a replica schooner built to resemble the Hannah in size and appearance, will be docked at Town Landing from 9 to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, and Sunday, Sept. 21. Visitors may board the ship, meet crew members and interact with reenactors from Glover’s Regiment, who will share stories of Marblehead’s role in the Revolution.

Each morning will also feature a 90-minute sail from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. Tickets are $50, with proceeds supporting Marblehead’s 250th anniversary events in 2025 and 2026. Organizers say every trip is different, with guests invited to raise sails, take the tiller, learn knots or simply enjoy views of Salem Sound’s islands, lighthouses and forts.

Tickets are available at schoonerfame.com or by calling 978-729-7600
