UU Church to debut first-ever ‘Chocolate’ Red Bow Fair

Table of Contents

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead will put a new twist on its long-running holiday tradition with its first-ever “Chocolate Red Bow Fair” on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 28 Mugford St.

Organizers say the fair has been “chocolatetized” for 2025, beginning with complimentary hot chocolate for visitors at the door. The event will feature a wide array of chocolate-themed baked goods, including homemade pies, cakes, candies, cookies and a Kirsch-enhanced Black Forest cake.

Shoppers will also find gift items, games, cookbooks, holiday baskets, handcrafted floral arrangements, books featuring chocolate recipes and hand-painted ornaments that can be personalized on-site. The Red Bow Café will serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering homemade vegetable soup, curried egg salad, tarragon chicken salad sandwiches, all-beef hot dogs and chocolate desserts including a Kinder chocolate cup, chocolate pot de crème and classic chocolate fondue.

Children’s programming begins at 1 p.m. with a holiday story read by Mrs. Claus, followed by storyteller Tony Toledo presenting “The Polar Express” and a musical set by T MAX.

Other features include a “Taste ’n Talk” session for chocolate enthusiasts and games such as face painting, corn tossing and Velcro dart-throwing, with chocolate prizes for winners. A raffle will offer prizes including 25 pounds of lobster, a chocolate gingerbread house kit and a dollhouse.

The church invites the community to “savor the season — and all things chocolate.“
