In the days following this week’s blizzard, families streamed to Seaside Park, one of Marblehead’s favorite sledding hills, to make the most of the fresh snowfall. The storm left behind a smooth, fast surface that kept children climbing and racing downhill in a steady rhythm throughout the afternoon.

By Tuesday, the slope was alive with sleds and a handful of improvised jumps carved into the packed snow. The scenes below, photographed by Paula Muller, capture the energy at Seaside Park as residents returned outdoors in the wake of the storm.
