The Marblehead Museum will offer a series of historical walking tours on Thursday afternoons in July and August, led by associate director Jarrett Zeman.
The lineup includes tours focused on Abbot Hall, women's history, slavery and freedom, the road to American independence, sports and leisure and the history of illness and medicine in Marblehead. Each tour costs $15 and follows a route through downtown Marblehead.
The series begins with the Abbot Hall Tour on Thursday, July 23, and concludes with the Sick and Tired Tour on Thursday, Aug. 27. The museum may add dates in September and October if there is sufficient demand.
Tickets are available at marbleheadmuseum.org or by calling 781-631-1768. Proceeds support the museum's educational programming.
