Scott Alan LaVoie of Peabody, formerly of Marblehead, on April 21 at the Kaplan House in Danvers. Survived by Linda Belanger his wife of 25 years, parents, Robert and Barbara Lavoie of Marblehead, his siblings Bryan (Amy) of Stoneham, David (Audra) of Surf City, N.C. and Nicole Anderson (Eric) of Marblehead. Nephews and niece Keira Anderson, Owen LaVoie, Peter Anderson, Ethan LaVoie, Noah LaVoie, dear friend Kristen Moss and his brother-in-law John Belanger of Ky. He will be greatly missed by his dog “Killah”.
Scott was employed by the Marblehead School Department for almost 30 years, presently as Head Custodian at the Veterans Middle School. Also employed by the Visitation Parish, Sacred Heart Church, Manchester-by-the-Sea and Saint John the Baptist in Essex.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a member of the Agustus P. Gardner American Legion Post 227, Middleton.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 16 (his birthday) at 11 a.m. followed by Mass at noon in the Sacred Heart Church, 62 School St., Manchester-by-the-Sea. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Marblehead Animal Shelter, 44 Village St., Marblehead 01945 or the Americal Legion Post 227, 69 River St., Middleton 01949. Burial will be private at a later date at Waterside Cemetery.
