Marblehead Veterans Middle School students have until next Friday night to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt.
The school will present “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Nelson Aldrich Performing Arts Center, 217 Pleasant St.
The musical is based on Rick Riordan’s book series. In it, teenager Percy Jackson learns he is a demigod and sets out with his friends to recover the bolt and stop a war among the gods.
Colleen Inglis, the show’s musical director, has been rehearsing with the cast, including on the opening number. Katie Frigon, who sent the announcement, wrote that the students have been working on the show since the beginning of the school year and that organizers hope they will play to a big audience.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. They are available at mhdschools.booktix.com.
